How To Win A Baccarat Tournament Part A
Speed Baccarat – Evolution Gaming powers this version of live baccarat. As the name suggests, it’s a baccarat game with the speed dial turned up. Every hand will take just half the time of a standard game. A dealer in the center handles the cards for all players.
Objective of the game is to guess which hand is closest to 9. Player Hand wins 49.32% of the hands and loses 50.68% of the hands. Bank Hand wins 50.68% of the hands and loses 49.32% of the hands. If they go on a winning streak, keep betting on the banker until they lose. As in Chemin de Fer, a player who wishes to bet the entire amount of the bank calls ‘banco’ and has priority. If two players call ‘banco’ each bets half the bank, one on each hand. If more than two players call ‘banco’, the two who are earliest in counter-clockwise order have priority. A player who loses a ‘banco’ bet can call ‘banco suivi’, claiming priority to play for the bank again in the next coup, to try to win back the loss. After all the players have had their turns, if there is still money in the bank that is not covered by player bets, spectators may also be allowed to bet.
Instead of charging a 5% commission, they might charge a 4% or 3% commission—or less. Luckily for the player, it doesn’t matter if you understand what’s happening here or not. The odds are the same regardless, and the player has no meaningful decision to make other than whether to bet on the player hand or the banker hand. If the dealer has a 3, the hand only stands if the player total is 8. If the player hand is a total of 5 or lower, that hand always gets an additional card. If either the Player hand or the Banker is dealt a total of 8 or 9 in the first two cards (known as a “natural”), then the game is over, and the winning hand is determined on just those cards.
After all players have placed their bets, the Player and the Banker are each dealt two cards. The hand that wins is the one that’s closer to a total of 9. So, if the Player hand is 8 and the Banker hand is a 3, the winning one is the Player and all punters at the table who have placed bets on the Player hand, win. If the hands are equal, it’s a loss for everyone who has bet on Player / Banker and a win for all that have bet on a Tie.
Cards 2 through 9 are worth face value, tens and face cards are worth 0, and aces are worth 1. The values of the 2 cards in a hand are added together to determine the score for that hand. For example, if Player was dealt an ace and a 10, their score would be 1. For example, if the 2 cards in Banker’s hand add up to 13, the 1 would be dropped and their score would be 3. If Player’s hand wins, anyone who bet on the Player space wins the payout.
